Summary:

The Plant Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. This leadership position involves strategic planning, effective team management, and ensuring the plant's efficiency and productivity. The Plant Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, meeting production targets, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide strong leadership to the manufacturing team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Directly manage and coordinate the activities of various departments within the manufacturing facility.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production goals, optimize processes, and enhance overall plant efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align plant operations with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Implement efficiency improvement initiatives and address any bottlenecks or issues in the production process.
  • Uphold and enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  • Conduct/ oversee regular safety meetings and training sessions for plant personnel.
  • Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower and equipment, to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure optimal functionality of machinery and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the quality control department to ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Implement measures to address any deviations or non-conformities in the production process.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the manufacturing facility, controlling costs and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve overall plant profitability.
  • Effectively communicate with senior management, department heads, and front-line staff to ensure clear understanding of goals and objectives.
  • Prepare regular reports on plant performance, production metrics, and other relevant KPIs.
  • Lead and support initiatives for continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance plant processes, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency.
  • Responsible for talent management and employee lifecycle activities, from hiring to terminating.

Position Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of successful plant management, including achieving production targets, implementing process improvements, and ensuring a strong safety culture.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
