Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park.
\nThe Pastry Cook executes daily tasks to complete all food production for The Sweeterie Confectionary Kitchen and Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor.

\nJob Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
\nPrepare assigned quantities of desserts, baked goods, and/or ice cream. Portion, finish, and assemble menu items in accordance with recipe guidelines.
\nComplete designated prep levels following established recipes with consistency and without sacrificing food quality.
\nAssist in control of prep inventories, outlet requisitions and par levels. Restock all items as needed during shift.
\nMaintain a high standard of food quality with demonstrated efficiency in the utilization of products and awareness to control food products and minimize waste.
\nMaintain clean and sanitary work environment and station on a daily basis and maintain standards of good personal hygiene and proper uniform guidelines.
\nPerform other duties as assigned.
\nQualifications:
\nMinimum of 1 years of related industry experience - high production scratch bakery or full confectionary kitchen
\n18 years of age or older
\nMust have a valid Drivers' License
\nCertificate of Completion - Baking & Pastry Arts
\nPost-Employment - Must be able to obtain ServeSafe certification.
\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
\nProficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.
\nSkills and knowledge in the realm of kitchen production, various dessert styles and baked goods.
\nAbility to communicate effectively as a team player with supervisors, employees & customers.
\nAbility to work individually and as part of a team.
\nExhibits solid knowledge, understanding and application of all fundamental techniques of pastry and baked goods.
\nDisplays the ability to communicate effectively as a team player with supervisors, employees & customers; project a positive, self-motivated & professional attitude at all times.
