This role is based in Charlotte, NC and must be performed onsite full time. Remote or Hybrid candidates will not be considered.

As the Operations Lead of our Transportation Brokerage at ISM, you will lead a dynamic ops team, identify key opportunities to showcase our services, and drive growth. What your day-to-day will look like:

• Mentor and lead a team of operations professionals; provide industry knowledge, coaching, and performance guidance
• Serve as a key link between Sales and Operations teams; collaborate cross-functionally to assess pricing strategies, market reach, and service KPIs
• Drive revenue and margin expansion across various freight modes and industry verticals; uphold operational excellence and business best practices
• Monitor customer requirements and metrics in real time to ensure service quality
• Assist with timely completion of customer bids and RFP submissions
• Conduct regular employee reviews and set clear performance targets

• Experience in the transportation or logistics industry
• Strategic and growth mindset with a passion for customer service
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to coach and guide others
• Strong decision-making and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2 years of experience in non-asset-based freight brokerage
• Leadership experience with demonstrated success in managing and developing teams
