Overview The ERM Data Analytics & Reporting position supports East West Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) second line of defense (2LOD) team by providing expert data-driven solutions, visualizations, analyses and reporting across a variety of risk areas. Responsibilities include but are not limited to production of intelligence through querying data repositories, generation of automated or adhoc reports, creation of dashboards and analytical tools, identification of risk trends through quantitative and qualitative analysis, and process automation related to data and reporting. This position will also implement analytical approaches and methodologies, assist in the interpretation of results, collaborate closely with Risk partners within and outside ERM, and provide reports to senior management and Board as needed for use in decision making and strategic planning. Hire will also perform other duties/projects as necessary. Responsibilities Develop and enhance risk reporting and analysis capabilities in close collaboration with risk partners to support enhanced 2LOD risk monitoring and management practices Design, implement and maintain intuitive dashboards that deliver valuable insights for enabling data-driven decision making and automation of processes Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and ensure reporting and outputs are aligned to key risk programs Work with multiple business units to aggregate and analyze data while fostering good working relationships to meet expected service levels Develop and report metrics and key measures consistent with Bank's Risk Management Framework, ensuring uniform reporting throughout all 2nd line risk functions Lead efforts involving analysis and reporting of risk profile, control performance, and benchmark process performance against Key Risk Indicators and Risk Appetite Metrics, highlighting any exceptions or areas of concern Develop aggregated view for all divisions covered by 2LOD Workstream and other materials as needed Collaborate with 1LOD to support target operating model of risk reporting and analytics Identify data quality issues and concerns and support data governance initiatives Report on existing and emerging areas of risk, implications of risk appetite and tolerance, and the ability of the risk management and control infrastructure to support business activities Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of experience in Risk Management or Analytics/Reporting in Banking or Financial Services industry Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of the organization Understanding of financial institutions processes and risk management frameworks Compensation The base pay range for this position is USD $69,000.00/Yr. - USD $95,000.00/Yr.
