Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Edison, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 8AM - 4:30PM
• Plus Overtime

Pay Rate:

• $19 / hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to safely operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, cherry picker, and turret trucks. This position plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations by efficiently moving, loading, and organizing inventory while following all safety guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate sit-down, stand-up, cherry picker, and turret forklifts to move inventory and materials.
• Load and unload trucks, pallets, and containers accurately and safely.
• Transport products to and from storage locations within the warehouse.
• Stage and organize materials for efficient picking, packing, and shipping.
• Perform equipment safety checks before each shift and report any issues.
• Use RF scanners or inventory systems to track and record material movement.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment in compliance with safety procedures.
• Support cycle counting, inventory audits, and put-away tasks.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to meet daily goals.

Job Requirements:

• MUST be bilingual (English AND Spanish).
• Valid forklift certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating sit-down, stand-up, cherry picker, and turret forklifts.
• Must wear steel toe boots as part of the required PPE.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and forklift operation best practices.
